Sick With Tuberculosis Will Be Treated Without Their Permission

The people sick with tuberculosis will be treated without their permission. The new legislative initiative envisages this form of medical treatment and it was initiated by the parliamentary bureau at the today’s session.

In accordance to the draft-law, the detainee, who will refuse to take medical treatment, will be placed in the hospital without his/her permission.

If this person is the only bread-winner in the family, his family will receive a state monthly allowance.

According to the same draft-law, the medicines for the tuberculosis will be purchased only based on the prescription.

The author and initiator of the draft-law is the health committee of the parliament of Georgia.
