Construction of Kutaisi Parliament Information Center Renewed

September 29, 2010
The construction of parliament information center started by the local government several months ago in the central garden of Kutaisi resulted in the resonant protest by the public.

The society “Baghis Kide,” representatives of oppositional parties and ordinary Kutaisi residents unanimously condemned the illegal construction and asked for the government’s explanations. The local government members didn’t wish to contact people then, but they compromised – the construction was halted.

Recently, construction was renewed. The corresponding information center will be located in the surrounding territory of Rustaveli bridge. The construction works have been started and as the local government claims, about ten people will be employed there.

“The interested people will have an opportunity to obtain all the information connected to building of parliament in Kutaisi in the corresponding center. Besides, the center will help tourists obtain information about the touristic routes,” – states Kutaisi City Hall.
