The Human Rights Centre Blames the Akhmeta District Governor in Nepotism

The NGO “Human Rights Centre” blames the Akhmeta district governor Koba Maisuradze in nepotism. According to the human rights organization, the Akhmeta district governor has employed his relatives in public offices.

The governor is best man of his deputy Vaja Naskidashvili; his assistant-Giorgi Maisuradze is his cousin. The governor`s driver is also his driver Beso Maisuradze; the governor`s secretary Nino Maliashvili is the niece of Koba Maisuradze. The specialist at the public relation department Maia Bodaveli is the sister-in-law of Koba Maisuradze.Tamaz Shashiashvili - director of the Akhmeta district culture centre is also relative of Koba Maisuradze.. The head of the Akhmeta district police department is also district governor`s relative. Zura Pilashvili is Koba Maisuradze`s nephew. Zura Pilashvili`s father, Zura Pilashvili (elder) is the manager of Akhmeta district office of the “Liberty Bank”. The director of the asylum Lekso Iarajuli is also the governor`s relative; Koba Maisuradze was his best man.

“Akhmeta is a small district and my relatives may also occupy positions. They are able to cope with their duties. I trust those people and I think I have made correct decision”, the district governor Koba Maisuradze said.
