Free Democrats Advice Koba Subeliani to Learn Manners Appropriate for Minister

October 26, 2010
According to one of the leaders of Free Democrats, Tea Tsulukidze, government divides the IDPs in two categories; first, relatively privileged category belongs to the era of President Mikheil Saakashvili’s governance, as for the second category, it is comprised of IDPs who were displaced in the ex-president Eduard Shevardnadze’s time and live in severe social conditions nowadays.

Free Democrats were have been meeting with IDPs for a months and prepared the relevant report, according to which, the Minister of IDPs from Occupied territories, Accommodation and Refugees Koba Subeliani is not fulfilling his duties.

According to Tsulukiani, when one of the IDPs was offered to move to the village of Potskhoetseri, she asked the Ministry representative how she could take care of herself there.

“When an IDP asked Gorgodze how she could take care of herself in Potskhoetseri, Gorgodze answered that she could pasture the grass. We ask Gorgodze that he can himself pasture the grass and give an example to the IDPs in this way,” – stated Tea Tsulukidze.

According to her statement, it is impossible to contact Koba Subeliani by telephone as his personal cell-phone is redirected to the hot line of the Ministry. Tea Tsulukidze states that the IDPs blame Koba Subeliani in the verbal assault.

Free Democrats advice Minister Subeliani to learn the manners appropriate for the Minister and critically evaluate his attitude towards the IDPs, so the IDPs can talk to the Ministry Department on their social issues and not hear insulting phrases from the officials.
