Sokhumi Regime Requests Georgian Side to Deport Abkhaz Suspect to Them

November 4, 2010
Sokhumi de-facto government requests the Georgian side to deport the suspected Abkhaz person – Arkadi Katsabava to Sokhumi. Representative of the de-facto president of Abkhazia in Gali district Ruslan Kishmaria stated at the press-conference at the Apsni Press about it.

Kishmaria said that 24-year-old Arkadi Kachabava took part in the robbery in Ochamchire which resulted into the death of a person; Kachabava was wounded and currently he hides from Abkhaz law enforcement officers. According to Kishmaria, Kachabava is taking medical treatment at Zugdidi hospital and is guarded by Georgian special unit. Ruslan Kishmaria added that Georgian side arbitrarily detained another “Abkhaz citizen” Nugzar Parpalia who crossed the de-facto border to visit his relatives.

“Georgian law enforcement officer arrested Parpalia and blamed him in drug-dealing,” said Kishmaria.

In order to eradicate the problem, the de-facto representative of the president states that the de-facto border shall be demarked.
