Special Release about Unpaid Debts of Levan Gachechiladze

Kakha Kukava (Free Georgia) spread special release about financial conditions of Levan Gachechiladze’s family.

According to the press-release, it was recently reported that Levan Gachechiladze was negotiating with the government during the events in November of 2007 in order to get several million GEL as a bribe.

“According to the recent information, Levan Gachechiladze was negotiating with the government to get several million GEL during the events in November of 2007.

“With regard to this fact, I think the Georgian society should know that I, as a lawyer of Gachechiladze’s family, have information about their financial situation.

“In 2005-2009 the Gachechiladzes have taken the following debts:

1. 2 000 000 USD from Swedish Citizen Frederic Paulsen in 2007. The debt was mortgaged by the real estate in Kobuleti Street 24 in Tbilisi – owner: Manvelita Tavartkiladze (Levan Gachechiladze’s mother-in-law); currently the debt has amounted to 2 390 000 USD;

2. 160 000 USD - loan from the JSC Tao Privat Bank taken on January 12, 2009. The loan was mortgaged by the real estate – Barnov Street 144, App. 51 in Tbilisi; the owner is – Manvelita Tavartkiladze (Levan Gachechiladze’s mother-in-law). Their debt has increased up to 203 431 78 USD (the judgment of the Tbilisi City Court was appealed at the Tbilisi Appeal Court and based on the final judgment of the Supreme Court of Georgia the property of Gachechiladzes was sold at the auction);

3. 300 000 USD – loan from the TBC bank in 2005. The loan was mortgaged by the real estate in Hero Settlement in Saguramo; the owner is Manvelita Tavartkiladze (Levan Gachechiladze’s mother-in-law), Nana Mikeladze (Levan Gachechiladze’s wife); their current debt is 499 000 USD.

4. 200 000 USD from TBC Bank in 2005; the loan was mortgaged by the real estate in the Hero Settlement in Saguramo, the owner is Nino Dzidzava (Gia Gachechiladze’s wife).
