Tinatin Khidasheli: “Tender on the Mini Buses – a next farce by Tbilisi City Hall.”

February 2, 2011

According to Republican member of Tbilisi City Council “tender on the mini buses is a next farce by Tbilisi city hall.”

“The corresponding assumption was confirmed by the revelation of the winners of the tender announced by Tbilisi City Hall,” – stated Khidasheli to Pirveli.

‘The statements as if the tender was conducted in the environment of free competitorship were farce. In reality the mayor decided a long time ago who he was gifting Tbilisi Transportation Networks to. The statements that the tender was announced for 5 Lot were farce as well. In reality the “winner” companies were intentionally created for this purpose by one group. The absolute majority of Commission members “did not notice” that the “winner” companies Tbil Line, Public Car and Tbil Car are created on the same day and the texts of their charters are absolutely identical and the documents are certified by the same Notary. The documents are registered in the Public Registry with 5-minute intervals and the obligation of issuing the office space is undertaken by the same restaurant,” – explains Khidasheli.

According to him, “As a result of the corresponding corruptive plan the winner companies are artificially raising prices on the services, are persecuting small businessmen and driving them out of the market. Consequently the income of oligarchs and the level of poverty rise.”
