Tkibuli Miners Ceased Strike

Tkibuli miners ceased strike. The Member of Secretariat of the Trade Union of Tkibuli Miners Giorgi Babukhadia informed the InterPressNews that miners renewed working in the mines. The strikers returned to their working places hoping their Agreement with “SakNakhshiri (Georgian Coal)” will be implemented.

Babukhadia reported that agreement was signed in the administrative building of the SakNakhshiri. The director general of the Company Zaza Sadunishvili, miners-on-strike and officials from the Trade Union attended the negotiation.

According to the Document the amount of the miners’ salaries shall be revised and corresponding measures shall be taken to guarantee safe working conditions for the miners. 

Babukhadia said initially the salaries will increase at 15-30%; current salary amounts to 250 GEL. Meetings with the Mine Administration will continue in order to finally agree on the amount of monthly salaries.
