Parliamentary Majority Supports Minister Subeliani

March 24, 2011
On March 24th representatives of Parliament majority expressed their support to the Minister of Refugees and Accommodation Koba Subeliani. The Ministers were invited to the Parliament by the format of Governmental Week. Most supportive statements were made towards the Minister Koba Subeliani.

The opposition reminded the Minister about the process of eviction, accommodation in unacceptable places, driving Nana Pipia to suicide by the Ministry officials and reminded the decree of the Prime-Minister, according to which the financial assistance of IDPs will be terminated after accommodation in the private sector.

Parliamentary majority perceived this attitude to be a terrible lie.

Parliamentary majority member Rati Samkurashvili also stated that he has witnessed the understanding nature of the Minister Subeliani.

According to him, he has seen how Koba Subeliani asked the IDPs to personally contact him in case they had a problem.

The majority member Petre Tsiskarishvili is assured that the opposition was irritated just because everything is going well.

“Everything has turned into the political dishonesty,” – addressed Tsiskarishvili opposition and stated that he has heard terrible phrases from the opposition as if they were throwing little children out of windows.

It should be noted that Koba Subeliani was supported by many deputies today who are usually not active in debates. However, no comment was made on the issue of Nana Pipia’s suicide.
