Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Restrains from Commenting on CENN Report

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia restrains from commenting on the report of Caucasus Environmental NGO Network (CENN) which concerns the transformation of Georgia-Azerbaijan border.

“We are not commenting on this issue,” – states the Press Service of the Ministry.

On March 29th, Kakheti Information Center disseminated the CENN report regarding the transformation of Georgia-Azerbaijan border. According to the report, at the Alazani area of the border line 69 cases of territorial changes are observed. In 42 cases the factual border has been moved towards Georgian side and only in 27 cases damagingly for Azerbaijan. The loss of Georgian territory amounts to approximately 293 hectare.
