Sandro Bregadze Free From Prison

Tbilisi City Court released Aleksandre (Sandro) Bregadze from prison based on the plea-agreement.

The court reported the Interpresnews that according to their verdict Aleksandre Bregvadze was found guilty under Article 239 Part III of the Criminal Code of Georgia and was sent to prison for 5 years that was changed into 6-year suspended sentence. In addition, bail of 20 000 GEL was imposed on him to pay to the state budget.

Aleksandre Bregadze was released from the courtroom.

Bregadze was accused of hooliganism i.e. the action which grossly violates public order or demonstrates open contempt toward the public, committed under violence or threat of violence and with firearms.

During essential discussion of the case, the Tbilisi City Court resoluted the plea-agreement between the prosecutor’s office and the accused based on the confession of Bregadze. A. Bregadze pleaded guilty in the accusation and sincerely regretted for the crime he had committed.
