UN Secretary General Satisfied with Geneva Discussions

UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon does not expect the Geneva consultations to solve Caucasian problem, however he is satisfied with the efforts concerning regulation of incidents. He stated corresponding in an exclusive interview with Ria Novostsi.

According to him, the complete resolution of problems is hard, but he welcomes the results of negotiations on incident prevention. The 15 round of consultations proved they are useful, he added.

According to Secretary General, his special representative Antti Turunen will continue efforts for developing the Geneva consultations.

“In this regard I would like to discuss how the platform of consultations can be better used for peace and stability and protecting human rights in this region,” – stated Ban Ki Moon.
