Mamuka Ghlonti Criticizes Actions of Opposition

May 24, 2011

Representative of TV Company Maestro Mamuka Ghlonti criticized the actions of opposition in the radio Palitra and voiced the position of Maestro.

Mamuka Ghlonti commented on the speech of Levan Gachechiladze made in the evening of May 22nd and the incident regarding the journalists.

According to Levan Gachechiladze, the protest rallies might be covered only by the accredited journalist.

Mamuka Ghlonti stated: “The person who has not come in power yet and starts the censorship and restrictions, will act a lot worse when he/she takes over government.”

According to the founder of Maestro: “The society which sells its electoral vote for 5 GEL and cannot understand who the member of Georgian Party is deserves such President and opposition. As for the assumptions that Maestro can turn into Rustavi 2, of course there is no guarantee that Maestro will not become “The Television of Victorious People,” but I will not work in such Maestro. We were covering the events of Egypt for 6 months and will do the same now. Do not expect cartoons on our channel at this time.”
