“Public Assembly” Published List of Detained Activists on May 20-21

The Public Assembly published a list of the activists detained on May 20-21. Among them are members of the Sagarejo district office of the Public Assembly - Gia Gurgenishvili, Giorgi Kavelashvili and Gela Dighmelashvili. According to the Public Assembly, the whereabouts of several detainees are not known yet.

Activists detained on May 20

1. Temur Smoev – Gldani district committee of the Public Assembly; was detained near the party office. The court imposed fine of 400 GEL on him.

2. Bacho Bekauri – Didube district committee of the Public Assembly; was detained near the district office; imposed fine of 400 GEL;

3. Murtas Khardziani – Krtsanisi district committee of the Public Assembly; was detained near the office; sent to one-month imprisonment;

4. Mikheil Namicheishvili – Krtsanisi district committee of the Public Assembly; was detained near the office; sent to one-month imprisonment;

5. Davit Arghvliani – Krtsanisi district committee of the Public Assembly; was detained near the office; sent to one-month imprisonment;

6. Vladimer Shakhpazidi –Krtsanisi district committee of the Public Assembly; detained near the office; sent to one-month imprisonment;

Activists Detained on May 21

1. Otar Anguridze – detained in Tskneti when leaving home. was sent to one-month imprisonment;

2. Badri Kvelidze and five more activists from Marneuli, Kutaisi and Zestaponi district committees of the Public Assembly; were detained in Zestaponi, seized four cars.

3. Giorgi Kavelashvili – head of Sagarejo district office of the Public Assembly; detained in Sagarejo

4. Dito Ormotsadze – detained in Tbilisi. Chair of the Gldani district office of the Public Assembly. Head of Gldani police department Koba Chaduneli called him at night and asked him out. Afterwards, other police officers arrived at Ormotsadze’s house and took him to a pretrial detention setting. He was sentenced to one-month imprisonment.

5. Zviad Beradze- Gldani district office of the Public Assembly; whereabouts are not known yet;

6. Gogi Javakhishvili – Gldani district office of the Public Assembly, sent to two-month imprisonment;

7. Mamuka Grdzelidze – Gldani district office of the Public Assembly; sent to two-month imprisonment;

8. Mirza Kochadze – Gldani district office of the Public Assembly; sent to two-month imprisonment;

9. Zaza Korghanashvili – Gldani district office of the Public Assembly; sent to two-month imprisonment;

10. Temur Zhghenti and six members of the Samgori district committee of the Public Assembly were detained and taken out of the city; they were left in Norio. The whereabouts of Temur Zhghenti is not known yet.

11. Gia Kotaria – was detained near house; was sent to one-month imprisonment;

12. Avtandil Tedliashvili – head of youth movement of the Samgori district committee of the Public Assembly; was detained near office; was sent to two-month imprisonment;

13. Emzar Akhvlediani – Isani district committee of the Public Assembly; was detained near the office; was sent to one-month imprisonment;

14. Gocha Tsiklauri – was detained when traveling in the city; was sent to one-month imprisonment;

15. Uzhangi Janibegashvili – Isani district committee of the Public Committee; was detained at home; was beaten; sent to two-month imprisonment;

16. Zurab Bankarashvili – Kareli district committee of Public Assemblu; was detained near the TV-Company building; imposed fine of 400 GEL;

17. Dimitry Khujadze – Kareli district committee of the Public Assembly; detained near the TV-Company building; imposed fine of 400 GEL;

18. Beso Danelia – head of youth movement of the Gldani district committee of the Public Assembly; was ruthlessly beaten together with his pregnant wife; were taken to hospital # 8; Beso Danelia has his leg broken and some other injuries;

19. Gia Gurgenishvili – Chair of the Sagarejo district office of the Conservative Party; was detained at home;

20. Gela Dighmelashvili – Sagarejo district office of the Public Assembly; was detained at home;

21. Gocha Tskhadia – driver of the mini-bus; was detained in Khobi; is in Khobi district police station; was ruthlessly beaten;

22. Zurab Abuladze – driver of the mini-bus; was detained on the Terjola motor-way; he is beaten;

23. Zaza Makaradze  and four drivers of the mini-buses; were detained in Ponichala; fined with 60 GEL each;

24. Naur Jikia – member of the Public Assembly; member of the IDP Committee; is ruthlessly beaten by police officers;

25. Iuri Kvaratskhelia – member of the IDP Committee of the Public Assembly; was detained in Tskneti when leaving home; was sent to 35-day imprisonment;

26. Aleksandre Nadirashvili – 18-year-old; was detained during manifestation for having a flag; was sent to two-month imprisonment.

27. Lomer Peria – was detained in Gori when traveling from Chkhorotsku district; was accused of driving a car drunken; his car was seized; police officers refused him to take alcohol test. As a result, he took drug-test after he categorically insisted the examination;

28. Mikheil Gogichaishvili – Gori district committee of the Public Assembly; was detained in Gori; the whereabouts are not known yet;

29. Davit Ichkitidze – Kharagauli district committee; was detained during the manifestation; imposed fine of 400 GEL;

30. Davit Tsitskishvili – Kharagauli district committee of the Public Assembly; was detained during the manifestation; imposed fine of 400 GEL;

31. Jaba Ochkitidze – Kharagauli district committee of the Public Assembly; was detained during the demonstration; imposed fine of 400 GEL;
