Georgia Ranked 134th Place Among Peaceful Countries

Georgia ranked the 134th place among peaceful countries. The GPI produced by the Australian Institute for Economics and Peace was published by the Vision of Humanity.

The GPI provides information about 153 states. Iceland ranked the first place; Zeeland – second; the USA is on the 82nd place, China on the 80th and Russia ranked 147th place.

The rating is estimated according to 23 indicators among them corruption level, amount of military budget and number of armed forces and law enforcement officers in the country.

The GPI has been published since 2007. In 2009, Georgia ranked the 134th place; in 2010 – 142nd place.
