Konstantine Gamsakhurdia Thinks Permanent Broadcasting of Public Assembly’s Demonstration Is Not Reasonable

May 25, 2011

Leader of the political party “Freedom”, MP Konstantine Gamsakhurdia requests to restore the format of the Second Channel and to give “free tribune” to political parties.

Konstantine Gamsakhurdia petitioned to the administration and the Board of Trustees of the Public Broadcasting today at the press-conference in the parliament.

He said he acknowledges that the ongoing demonstration in front of the Public Broadcasting shall be highlighted by a TV-Company, but he thinks it shall not be broadcasted 24-hours at the expense of the time allocated for other political parties.

The permanent transmitting of the demonstration is particularly unreasonable decision for the MP because he said “only people walking like ghosts” are shown on TV.

Konstantine Gamsakhardia mentioned the memorandum between the GPB and 17 political parties and reminded the TV-Company administration of their responsibilities under the memorandum.
