Offices of Public Assembly Closed in Kakheti

The offices of Public Assembly are closed in Kakheti region. According to the members of the assembly, they stopped working after the protest rally was raided in Tbilisi. According to them, part of the activists who suffered during the raid are placed in the hospital. Other are receiving medical treatment at home.

Public Assembly members cannot concretely say whether or not they will be able to renew their work.

Kakheti Information Center obtained document today which makes it clear that 57-year old Giorgi Piralishvili detained by the police who was imposed by 90-day imprisonment, is a member of Public Assembly Gurjaani Regional Committee. Up until now, Piralishvili family members denied that he was the activist of Public Assembly.
