Witness Confirms that He Saw Giorgi Kanashvili at Rustaveli Avenue during the Protest Disruption

Davit Nikolashvili, the member of Gurjaani regional organization of Georgian Party confirms that 27-year old Giorgi Kanashvili who has been disappeared since the May 26th protest disruption was at Rustaveli Avenue during the disruption.

“I arrived in Tbilisi on May 25th in the evening at about 11:00 pm. Giorgi Kanashvili was at the rally about 10-15 minutes before the disruption. He could not have left the place in 10-15 minutes as the area was controlled by the punishment brigades. Giorgi Kanashvili was not seen after the protest disruption. He cannot answer the phone either. His cell-phone is turned off,” – stated Davit Nikolashvili to Kakheti Information Center.

Kakheti Information Center disseminated information regarding the disappearance of May 26th protest rally participant yesterday. Giorgi Kanashvili is not in the list of detainees issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
