Public Officials Suspected in Writing and Drawing on the Buildings Face the Suspension of Weapon Carrying

Public officials and political individuals suspected in performing writings and drawings on the roads and buildings will be temporarily deprived of right to carry weapons, the amendment to the Code of Administrative Violations envisages the corresponding.

According to the draft law, the public official who performs different kinds of writings, drawings and symbols on the facades of buildings of administrative organs or its surrounding territory for the second time will be deprived the right of carrying service weapons for three years.

The following Ministries have right to carry service weapons: Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Corrections and Legal Assistance, Intelligence Service, Special Service of State Defense, the Officials of the Office of Prosecutor; the judges; the court bailiffs; the authorized officials of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Electricity and Natural Resources; the money collectors of the bank departments and accountants – during their work performance; the employees of Structural Department of Aviation Defense of Civil Aviation; the members of Control Chamber Presidium; officials holding state-political jobs; secretary of Council of National Defense and its members and the high public officials who are granted with the special  titles.

The authors and initiator so the draft law are the deputies Pavle Kublashvili, Giorgi Chiviashvili and Zviad Kukava.
