Members of Council of Ethics Charter of Journalists Meet Public Defender

On July 11th, the members of Council of Ethics Charter of Journalists met with the Public Defender Giorgi Tughushi. The journalists discussed what kind of mechanisms are out there to remove the classification secret from the case. Also, the members of the Charter are interested in the health of the photo reporters.

The meeting lasted for more than half an hour. The Public Defender informed the journalists that the health state of the detained photo reporters is normal. According to the ombudsman, his representatives daily visit them in prison and monitor their treatment. According to ombudsman, since the case is classified as secret, he does not have right to see the materials.
