Sopio Khorguani – Government Tries to Destroy Botanical Garden

Government tries to destroy botanical garden – informs one of the leaders of Georgian Party Sopio Khorguani at the press conference held in front of botanical garden.

According to Sopio Khorguani, the government tried to use tricky way to destroy botanical garden. As Khorguani states these departments are transfering from Ilia Chavchavadze University subordination to Tbilisi City Hall. According to him, it is not understandable what is the goal of the botanical garden transfer to Tbilisi City Hall. According to Sopo Khorguani, this is one more precedent of governmental corruption.

“It is not excluded that in the nearest future the unique plants are destroyed and big trade centers or other commercial objects are built which will be transferred to the business group associated with Gigi Ugulava,” – stated Sopio Khorguani.

As she states, it is not understandable who will be responsible for social status of 200 employees of Botanical garden. According to Sopio Khorguani, the majority will stay without jobs.
