Lasha Tugushi: “Our Protest Will Last For a Long Time Because We Do Not See Chances to Render Justice Yet”

July 22, 2011

“Our protest will last for a long time because we do not see chances to render justice yet,” editor-in-chief of the newspaper Resonance Lasha Tugushi told the Interpresnews who participated in the journalists’ protest in front of the Gldani prison.

He said the materials provided by the MIA and Prosecutor’s Office convinced him that journalists’ protest and requirements are fair. Tughushi added he is completely sure that the Top Secret status shall be removed from the case and the detained photo-reporters shall be released; their solidarity actions and struggle for justice shall continue.

Editor-in-chief of the Resonance said they will continue their struggle not only with protest demonstrations but they also intend to appeal to the Constitutional Court to change the law under which the photo-reporters are detained.
