American Media Shows Interest in the Museum of John M. Shalikashvili

American media outlets showed interest in the museum of John M. Shalikasvhili. Kakheti Information Center was contacted by the journalists from Washington who asked to send  photos of the museum.
Besides, Kakheti Information Center will prepare a video report regarding John M. Shalikashvili museum which will be present at
www.ick.ge along with American publications.

John M. Shalikashvili a United States Army General a Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff died at the age of 75 on July 23rd in Washington.
The museum of John M. Shalikashvili has been operating in Gurjaani since 2011 in the house built in 1830 by his great grandfather. The opening of the museum was attended by the brothers Otar and Jon Shalikashvilis. John M. Shalikashvili gifted his belongings and military clothes to the museum.

The first floor of the museum building has turned into the feast room. On July 23rd, on the first floor of the museum, the governor of Gurjaani municipality Shota Utiashvili, his assistants, the head of the City Council Zakaria Iaganashvili and the officials of local government were having feast. The officials were celebrating the birthday of national party member of the City Council Avtandil Zardiashvili. Zakaria Iaganashvili, Goga Petruzashvili and Avtandil Zardiashvili confirmed the fact of having feast in the museum.
