Israeli Inserted Georgia on the List of Dangerous Countries Again

July 27, 2011

Israeli government suggests its citizens to refrain from visiting Georgia; Isra.com reported about it.

Israeli Anti-terrorist Department inserted Georgia on the list of dangerous countries.  The Department suggests its citizens to refrain from traveling to Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey.

“If you urgently need to visit these countries, please be extremely careful there,” the statement of the Anti-Terrorist Office reads. The same recommendation was issued in regard with several South-Eastern Asian states.

The statement also clarifies that Israeli still uses term “Gruzia” for Georgia.

“Although the government of Georgia officially requested to use Georgia in documents, we think “Gruzia” sounds better,” the Israeli Anti-Terrorist Office clarified.

It is noteworthy, that Israeli inserted and then removed Georgia from the list of dangerous countries several times.
