Homeless Eter Mosashvili Urges for Help

August 2, 2011

Eter Mosashvili, 57, from Vakiri village in Sighnaghi district has been urging the local administration for help for three months already but in vain. She told the Information Center of Kakheti that in May of 2011 her house ruined as a result of the natural disaster and she has been living in the shed together with her daughter since then.

“We had a one-room little house where I lived together with my daughter. Two walls of the house completely ruined as a result of heavy rain and wind in May. It is impossible to live inside. We have a little shed in the yard and we sleep there at night. We do not have permanent work to earn our living; sometimes I manage to find a one-day job somewhere; that is all. District governor Nodar Kochlamazashvili promised me to purchase a house for 2 000 GEL if I find one but how can I find house at such a low price? I have been living in unbearable conditions for three months already. I do not have even relatives who can give shelter to us. We cannot get allowance either; I was told at the Sighnaghi district office of the Social Agency that they cannot evaluate my family until I buy a house,” said Eter Mosashvili.

ICK called Nodar Kochlamazashvili several times to get comments on the fact from him but he did not answer the phone calls.
