Disobedient Traders Might Face Seven-Day Arrest

According to the draft law of amendment to the Code of Administrative Offences, disobedient traders might face seven-day arrest and deprivation of the item of open trade.

The draft law was adopted by the first hearing on September 27th and is going through the hearings by an expedited way.

According to the draft law, if an individual is conducting open trade without a special permission and will not obey the order of the authority, he/she will be fined by 50 GEL and deprived of the trade item or will be imposed by seven-day arrest and in this case as well will be deprived of the item of trade.

According to the draft law, disobedience implies not presenting the ID card or other identification data to the law-enforcement, continuity of the fact of violation and not fulfilling the verbal instruction.
