Zvio Was Forced to Refuse to Participate in Project “Dardubala”

Zviad Bliadze left the projects of Shalva Ramishvili “Dardubala” and “Without Accreditation” due to the pressure exercised against him by the government.

Zviad Bliadze stated in the program “Subiekturi Azri” (Subjective Opinion) that he was threatened – if he participated in the project “Dardubala” his relatives would lose jobs.

“Though Zvio opposed some initially, he still left the project in the end,” – Shalva Ramishvili noted with the newspaper Alia.

Shalva Ramishvili states that the main reason is Bliadze’s brother who is the security guard of Minister of Justice Zurab Adeishvili. Zvio was told that his brother would lose job if he did not quit “Dardubala”.

Journalists try to contact Zviad Bliadze to ascertain the details but he does not comment on the issue.

Despite all this, the animated cartoon series Dardubala will be soon broadcast by Maestro. The project will be financed by the businessman Bidzina Ivanishvili who decided to join Georgian politics not too long ago.

Instead of Zvio, the animated series will have a new producer but Shalva Ramishvili abstains to talk about it.

Supposedly, Dardubala will have a new name and music since the ex brother-in-law of Shalva Ramishvili, Minister of environment Goga Khachidze required his share in the authorship right of Dardubala. Khachidze is the author of the old soundtrack of Dardubala.
Minister states that if his music is used in new Dardubala then Ivanishvili should pay him money. “I will share this money with orphanages who Ivanishvili has not helped yet,” – Khachidze writes in his facebook wall.

“If Goga Khachidze wants to receive money from Ivanishvili, he should present the document confirming his authorship rights and name the amount of money he wants,” – Shalva Ramishvili stated with Rezonansi (Resonance).

Dardubala was the first animated series which directed attention to the political process of Georgia and caricatured former political spectrum. According to Shalva Ramishvili, new version of Dardubala will caricature current leaders now, including – Bidzina Ivanishvili.
