Bidzina Ivanishvili Press-Center Reports that Cargo of the Company “ATU” Was Arrested in Batumi Port

The cargo of the Company “ATU”, one of the charity-construction organizations of the Cartu Group, was arrested in Batumi Port – Bidzina Ivanishvili’s press-center reported about it on November 2.

According to the press-center, the cargo included two transformers, two distributors and ventilation equipments.


The press-center reports that the transformers and distributors of high-voltage electricity was delivered for the Sachkhere district medical center; the Company ATU will finish the construction of the center within several months; ventilation equipments were brought for the under-construction rugby stadiums in Rurstavi, Martkopi and Didi Digomi district of Tbilisi.

“The cargo was to be excised in Tbilisi. Corresponding state agencies have not notified to the Cartu Group about the reason for the detention of the cargo in Batumi port yet,” Ivanishvili’s press-center reported.

“It was ordinary custom procedures. The cargo was not detained at all; they just conducted several procedures and now it is already free,” reported press-center of the Revenue Department.

On November 3, the press-center of Bidzina Ivanishvili also confirmed information about released cargo. “The cargo was released last evening,” the press-center told the Interpresnews.
