VATAN: “Turkish Businessmen Are Enticed to Georgia and Then Extorted Big Sums”

According to Turkish edition VATAN, “Turkish businessmen are initially enticed to Georgia and then are extorted much sums.”

Corresponding Arip Tashkin blamed Georgian police officers in planting narcotics in the cars of Turkish businessmen after what they have to pay big sums.

The correspondent claims that “100 entrepreneurs have been detained under various charges in Georgia for the last two years and 33 of them have been released after prime-minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan interfered in the case.” 

“Chairperson of the Union for the Aid and Unity of Turkish Families in Georgia Nurie Kapatoglu said Georgian police officers plant narcotics in their luggage. Currently, 62 Turkish citizens serve terms in Georgian prisons and most of them are not guilty,” the article states.

Story of a businessman Orhan Aksu is also mentioned in the article who had invested 100 million USD in the construction of three prisons in Georgia and now he is serving term in one of those prisons.
