Territory Bordering with Bidzina Ivanishvili’s Business Center Assigned to Kurta, Eredvi and Toghvi Municipalities for Five Years

November 25, 2011

Businessman Bidzina Ivanishvili’s press-center states that the government continues political oppression on Bidzina Ivanishvili.

According to the press-center, on November 25, representatives of the “Project 21,” Ltd arrived at the territory bordering with Bidzina Ivanishvili’s business-center together with patrol police. They showed an agreement which stated that the territory of 1008 sq. meters was assigned to the Kurta, Eredvi and Togvi municipalities under usufruct agreement for five years; the territory belongs to the Tbilisi self-governmental body.

“We would like to underline that the assigned land is located between the properties of Bidzina Ivanishvili. Representative of the Project 21, Ltd Gabriel Chulukhadze stated they have instructions to take topographic photos and install underground communications. They could not show the documents which were requested by the lawyers of Bidzina Ivanishvili. It is unclear why patrol police was called to the place when the parties could settle the affair by negotiation after corresponding documents were provided. Head of Mtatsminda-Krtsanisi district police department was together with the patrol police crew who received instructions over the phone within every 2-3 minutes and instead clarifying situation he was instructing the representatives of the Ltd to start activities in the territory. No doubt, with the agreement signed on October 26 the government aims to politically revenge Bidzina Ivanishvili with provocative and illegal methods,” the statement reads.
