According to the Maestro’s management company the Court imposed imprisonment on their employees.
The company representatives told Interpresnews that Mikheil Zedgenidze and Valeri Gipkashvili were charged under ungrounded accusations on January 3.
The Maestro’s management company calls upon the non-governmental organizations and public defender to respond to the fact.
“On January 1, 2012 unidentified people attacked Mikheil Zedgenidze and Valeri Gipkashvili. They arrested the employees of the Maestro’s Management Company and placed them in pre-trial detention setting. On January 3 they were charged under ungrounded accusations and on January 4 the court sentenced them to imprisonment. The Company protests illegal activities of police officers and the court and calls upon the NGOs and public defender to monitor the investigation process,” statement of the Maestro’s Management Company reads.
On January 2, MIA spread statement which reads that on January 1 law enforcement officers detected certain people were taking various items from the TV-Company Maestro’s yard in Nutsubidze Str. 93 by car.
According to the MIA, police officers stopped and checked cars to estimate whether their action was lawful or not. However, the driver did not obey the police officer’s order and crashed the police car when trying to escape them. Later the car was stopped by police officers and a criminal case was launched at the Tbilisi Police Department.
