Center of Ecology Law Submits Complaint against Permission of Cut Downing Trees in Kikvidze Garden

February 27, 2012

Center of Ecology Law the organization which actively protests against the cutting down of trees in Kikvidze Garden and constructing police building, submitted administrative complaint to Tbilisi City Hall.

As the lawyer of the Center Nikoloz Mzhavanadze stated on February 24th, the organization received documentation regarding the Kikvidze garden from Tbilisi City hall. The documentation notes that according to #07/15396-13 regulation, Tbilisi Architectural Service grants Agency of Human and Organizational Resources of Police Department to build the fence around the garden, place temporary buildings and carry out ground works.

Center of Ecology Law requests abolishment of #07/15396-13 regulation of Tbilisi Architectural Service. Center considers that this administrative act contradicts the law and the requirements of its preparation and publication are substantially violated.
