Incident in Kutaisi

March 6, 2012

On March 6th Bondo Pertsuliani who lives at #5 Nutsubidze St. in Kutaisi called patrol police. According to him, his son threatened with gun to kill him. After the involvement of patrol police Pertsuliani’s son resisted the police.

Bondo Pertsuliani’s son got wounded after the patrol police fired. The rebound bullet injured Bondo Pertsuliani as well. Urgent surgeries are underway on both in the National Center of Interventional Medicine in West Georgia.

MIA (Ministry of Internal Affairs) Administration made a comment regarding the incident in Kutaisi. Shota Khizanishvili the head of the administration provided information to interpressnews. According to him, the police was called in the building located next to the first police department in Kutaisi.

“The young person who lives there Beka Pertsuliani was aggressive towards his parents and neighbors. He threw glass jars at them. He had a knife in his hand. He had been going through psychiatric treatment in the past. After police came to the spot, he redirected his aggression towards policemen. Due to this development, one of the policemen fired in the air as a warning sign. Beka Perstuliani wounded one policeman with a knife at that moment. Then, the policeman fired again. Both Beka Pertsuliani and Bondo Pertsuliani were wounded as a result. They are transferred to the hospital,” – Shota Khizanishvili stated and added that this is all they have by now.
