Head of Khashuri District Police Office Fired

March 6, 2012

Based on the decision of the MIA the head of Khashuri district police office Giorgi Kharchiladze was fired.

According to the MIA statement, due to the accident in Khashuri district police office, which ended with the death of Soloman Kimeridze, the MIA made decision to resign Giorgi Kharchiladze from the position of head of police department and to put him in charge of the HR division.

“The decision was motivated by the fact that the security norms were not ensured in the police station. Kakhaber Beruashvili was appointed to the position of the Head of Khashuri District Police Department, who previously occupied the position of head of district inspectors’ department at the Gori district police department,” the MIA statement.
