“To the head of Financial Monitoring Service of political parties of Chamber of Control. According to the summon order of the deputy head of your department Giorgi Amiranashvili, on March 11th of 2012 we found out that in your service the fact of illegal financing of political parties is underway and that on March 13th of 2012 at 12:00 pm I have to come to the address of your department. However, it is not clear for which act and by which law and what is the grounds of urgent summon. Nevertheless, I am ready to come and provide any information I have. But in order to do so, according to article 10, 251.1 and 260.5 of Code of Administrative Offences of Georgia you have to notify me preliminarily to what administrative violation I am charged with and transfer the protocol of administrative violation along with the accompanying case materials. Otherwise, I will not be able to thoroughly apply my legal rights. Particularly: to find out that administrative body is disputing; to see the protocol of violation and accompanying documents; so I can prepare and submit the requests and apply legal help,” – the statement reads. The statement was transferred to the representative of Chamber of Control in the office of head of Culture Department of Gurjaani local government of coalition.

The defense police was protecting the office of Culture department. 7 policemen were standing in the entrance of the office and the same amount in the waiting room.

“I received summon order on March 11th to come to the building of local government for March 13th. I was supposed to give explanations regarding the financial violations. We have nothing to do with money. We did nothing but distributing newspapers and if this is a crime I really do not know,” – one of the supporters of Georgian Dream Natia Bitskinashvili stated to Kakheti Information Center.

“I received summon order on March 11th. It was sent to Natela Solomnishvili. I did not accept it because I am not Natela Solomnishvili. I am Lina Solomnishvili. I sent that person back. Then he came back and told me to write down that I was not receiving the order. I wrote down that I am not Natela Solomnishvili and my name is Lina Solomnishvili. I do not know why they are sending me these documents and what is going on?! Generally I distribute newspapers and agitate for support. I never sent money and nobody gave me money. I work on enthusiasm,” – Lina Solomnishvili noted.

On March 13th, head of the Chamber Control of Georgia Levan Bezhashvili made comment regarding the interrogation of Georgian Dream activists in the regions: “We are collecting information. Then we will compare it to the declarations presented by the political parties in Chamber of Control to ensure transparency of their work,” – Bezhashvili noted.

In reality, in the regions of Georgia i.e. in Guria opposition activists stated after the interrogation that representatives of Chamber of Control made them say that they have received money from Georgian Dream. Security police of representative of Chamber of Control have intensified their work in other regions as well.
