Teacher Kidnapped During President’s Visit Threats with Suicide in front of the Prosecutor’s Office

During Georgian President’s visit in the public school of Melaani village, Kakheti, police officers kidnapped teacher Lamzira Korchishvili. Now, she threats with suicide in front of the prosecutor’s office in protest. Lamzira Korchishvili had applied to the prosecutor’s office to start investigation of the kidnap case several times, but in vain.

On October 1, 2011 the Information Center of Kakheti published video, where Lamzira Korchishvili, former teacher of Chalaubani village public school in Gurjaani district, recalled how she was kidnapped and beaten on September 26 during the President’s visit in Melaani.

During the interview, Lamzira Korchishvili had various injuries on the body. According to the medical conclusion, she had brain concussion and had to stay in bed. Due to lack of money, she was taking medical treatment at home.
