American Founder of Global TV to Arrive in Georgia

US citizen Alex Rozenhes - 16% share holder and one of the founders of the Cable TV-Company Global TV will arrive in Georgia soon and will express his position with regard to company problems. Zurab Bazlidze, development and marketing director of the Global TV announced about it at the press-conference.

He said the import of Global TV’s equipment is permanently delayed at the Georgian custom offices; after examination, as a rule, most part of equipment is damaged.

Bazalidze said Rozenhes is concerned with the fact and he intends to petition to the Georgian Embassy in Georgia and to US embassy in Georgia.

Head of legal department of the Company Natalia Geladze said Georgian National Communication Commission had drown up a protocol on Global TV’s broadcasting net that is illegal according to the Company representative’s assessment.

“Initially we will sue this decision in Georgia and then we will appeal to the European court,” Geladze noted.

The Company’s marketing director said despite oppression the Global TV continues broadcasting and improvement of broadcasting packet. Currently, they implement commercial project which will allow subscribers to install service payment for 10 years and will be free from payment during first year of service.
