Seaside Prostitution – Number of “Entertainment Houses” Increased in Adjara

May 2, 2012

Uzbek and Ukrainian prostitutes serve clients in brothels camouflaged into disco-bars everywhere in Gonio, Adjara. Mostly Turkish and Iranian men visit cheap and so-called elite brothels to satisfy their passion.

Prostitution is flourishing in Batumi streets too. A lot of trucks are parking alongside the square in Chavchavadze Street. People are gathered in front of the trucks; their cloths and manners prove that there are prostitutes.

Supposedly, prostitution overwhelmed Adjara after entertainment houses were closed from Trabzon to Sarpi in Turkey; the deported prostitutes are visited by their old clients on the other side of the Georgian-Turkish border.
