Chamber of Control Responds Georgian Public Defender

Georgian Chamber of Control responded to the statement of the Georgian Public Defender. Deputy Chairperson of the Chamber of Control Tina Bokuchava’s video comment was uploaded on the official website of the state audit company.

“The Chamber of Control acted and will always act against political corruption in the frames of the law,” Bokuchava said “The Chamber actively cooperates with civil sector and international community in order to farther accomplish our procedures and reflect them in relevant methodology documents. The monitoring service of political parties was recently established and we think it is urgently important to refine its activity in the constructive environment.”

The Public Defender observed number of violation of human rights while studying the process of financial monitoring of the Chamber of Control interrogating citizens. Giorgi Tughushi sent official letter to the chair of the state audit company Levan Bezhashvili on May 1.
