Mtskheta District Administration Refused Georgian Dream to Hold Assembly in Central Square

June 25, 2012

Mtskheta district administration refused the Coalition Georgian Dream to hold assembly in the central square on July 1. Georgian Dream’s spokesperson Maia Panjikidze informed journalists about it.

“The authority has already refused us to hold assembly in the central square. Now we are waiting for their reply about our request to hold assembly near the Mtskheta Theatre. We have achieved verbal agreement but we are waiting for official notification. The assembly will start at 19:00 pm and it is dedicated only to Mtskheta-Mtianeti regional population. We do not mobilize people from various regions because we do not need it. Our previous three assemblies have already demonstrated desire of people to join our assembly,” Panjikidze said.
