Vano Merabishvili: “Next Year Every Family Will Receive One Thousand GEL Voucher for the Next Four Years”

Next year, every family in Georgia will receive one-thousand lari voucher to be spent during next four years - Primer-minister-to-be Vano Merabishvili stated during the meeting at Gldani based vocational college under-construction.

Merabishvili clarified the government will give opportunity to families to spend the money according to their own decision to resolve their urgent problems.

“We have a proposal to allow Georgian citizens to spend that one-thousand-voucher either on electricity, or gas, or water or other communal bills; or to purchase medicines with it; or school text-books for their children; peasants will be able to purchase fertilization substances, fuel or agricultural equipment; any person shall have guarantee to resolve problem if they cannot involve any governmental program in future,” Merabishvili said.

He added that together with the Georgian population they will develop clear plan how families can spend the voucher.
