National Movement Named Akaki Bobokhidze as Majoritarian Candidate in Tskaltubo

Akaki Bobokhidze, the National Movement’s majoritarian candidate in Kutaisi will take part in the polls from Tskaltubo municipality for the parliamentary elections. Bobokhidze was informally declared to be a majoritarian candidate in the Tskaltubo district administration on August 2. Lasha Makatsaria-the Imereti regional governor and Vano Merabishvili-the Prime-Minister of Georgia presented him to the population.

Kako Bobokhidze is the majoritarian MP Kutaisi. Before that, he was Imereti Regional Governor. However, his mandate of majoritarian candidate is connected with his native Khoni district. Reportedly, Bobokhidze was planned to be the National Movement’s majoritarian candidate in Khoni Municipality, but later they unexpectedly nominated him in the Tskaltubo district.

It is known that Goga Asatiani of theNew Rights and Paata Zakareishvili from the Georgian Dream are will be his rivals in the parliamentary elections.
