Nika Rurua Said Ricardo Migliori Made Foolish Statement

August 23, 2012

Minister of Culture of Georgia Nika Rurua said the OSCE PA President Ricardo Migliori made foolish statement where he resembled ongoing election process in Georgia with Leninism.

“I think his statement was absolutely irrelevant! I do not agree with it; it is absolute foolishness! I would have cast doubt over the motivation of the author of this statement. He does not properly realize what Leninism is because there are historical facts of it. Leninism means not-free country, lack of compatibility, absolute absence of freedom of expression, and direct shooting of political opponents. If he has similar opinion about Georgia, this person should not remain on his position,” Rurua said.

The Minister added that Georgian citizens are never meant under enemies but the enemy country – Russian Empire which tries to become an absolute empire and gain lost colonies back.

“And Georgia lived in similar situation during 270 years. Russia is trying to restore its control here with the support of his marionettes,” Rurua said.

On August 22, President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Ricardo Migliori resembled the current pre-election environment in Georgia with Leninism.
