Eka Beselia warns Police

September 10, 2012

According to the information spread by the election HQ of Eka Beselia, majoritarian candidate of the Georgian Dream in Poti, police officers plan to arrest Coalition activist in Poti Zurab Chachua.

“We have learned from a reliable source of information, that provocation is planned against Zurab Chachua coordinator of meetings and staff member of the Georgian Dream to arrest him and ensure that his actions are suspended. We apply to corresponding police structures and warn that any illegal actions against our election staff members will be considered as political persecution. Our statement aims to take preventive measures and inform long-term international election observation missions about this fact,” the statement of Eka Beselia’s election HQ.
