Cancelled Candidatures in favor of Georgian Dream

September 28, 2012

The head of Military Registration, Call-up and Mobilization Service and the assistant to Gurianta village attorney resigned in support of coalition Georgian Dream. Although similar facts did not occur in Lanchkhuti, two people cancelled their candidatures in favor of the majoritarian candidate of Georgian Dream. They are Mindia Kechekhmadze from Free Georgia and Aleksandre Makhatadze-the chairman of the Renewed Georgia’s Lanchkhuti office. Aleksandre Makhatadze was registered candidate of the political party Georgian Dasi.

“I made this decision after I saw that horrible video. I cancel my candidature in support of the Georgian Dream’s candidature in Lanchkhuti- Temur Chkhaidze. I call on all my supporters to vote for Temur Chkhaidze,” Mindia Kechekhmadze stated when he met Bidzina Ivanishvili in Lanchkhuti.

Aleksandre Makhatadze dedicated a special briefing to this issue:”Renewed Georgia united with Georgian Dasi of Jondi Baghaturia and nominated its candidatures under the name of this party. I am a majoritarian candidate in Lanchkhuti. Though, Georgian Dasi decided to cancel its candidatures throughout Georgia after latest events. Only Jondi Baghaturia did not cancel his candidature. I join this decision and cancel my candidature in benefit of Temur Chkhaidze-the majoritarian candidate of Georgian Dream.

Makhatadze also added that he with his whole party supports Georgian Dream.

Davit Tsuladze-the head of Lanchkhuti local branch of New Rights left the party in protest and joined the coalition too.
