Verdict in Favor of Georgian Dream’s Supporter

October 5, 2012

National Movement filed a complaint against Salome Zenaishvili, an employee of the administrative service of Lanchkhuti district administration, whose labor contract was due to expire on September 30.

Permanent protest rallies launched in Lanchkhuti after videos about prisoners’ abuse were aired. The rallies were held in front of public school #1, police and administrative buildings where the municipal board and district administration are located. Salome Zenaishvili went down and joined the rally.

Salome Zenaishvili: “I went down because I protest violation and I do not like what happens in the country. I protested human violation. None of political parties have organized this protest rally. Only ordinary members of society took part in it. I also went to Tskaltsminda and attended protest rally there too. Next day I found out that there was a complaint against me.”

Zenaishvili said that Davit Chkhaidze, chairman of the Fraction Majority at the Lanchkhuti municipal board, filed a complaint against her.

It is interesting that Merab Tsilosani-the chairman of the infrastructure commission at the municipal board, also joined the protest rally from his office in front of administrative building. However, nobody had sued him.

Humanrights.ge got in touch with Davit Chkhaidze. “Everybody saw Salome Zenaishvili at the protest rally. She is public official and she must not involve in political events”, - Chkhaidze told us. We interested why they had not sued Tsilosani too. “I do not know, I will not make a comment”, Chkhaidze said.

DEC appealed the case of Salome Zenaishvili in Ozurgeti court. Shalva Nutsubidze-the judge passed verdict in favor of Salome Zenaishvili because her contract was due to expire on September 30.
