Saknakhshiri Fired About 60 Employees of Pension Age

November 8, 2012
On November 5, Ltd Saknakhshiri (Georgian Coal) stopped labor contracts with about 60 employees who had reached pension age. Deputy director general Valeri Kukhalashvili said the reason of their dismissal was expired labor contracts.

Fired employees applied to the office of the Tkibuli district majoritarian MP. “First of all we will have to review their documents. We negotiated with the company representatives and agreed that they would shift old people to less hard job in order to secure their life and health. I am going to meet the company representatives again and will learn the real essence of the problem only afterwards,” Tkibuli MP Eliso Chapirdze said.
