Perevi Residents Cannot Get Their Cows Back from South Ossetia

November 21, 2012

Residents of border-line village in Sachkhere district complain about problems. Population of Perevi and Kardzmani villages speak about oppression from South Ossetia.

They said if their cows cross border of de-facto South Ossetia, they cannot get them back. Soldiers standing at the border checkpoint demand local people to produce Russian passports to allow them to bring their cows back.

“Will this territory always belong them?! Will they control our fields and forests?! In fact, we do not have pastures at all,” peasants said.
