Ucha Nanuashvili Visited Aleksandre Khetaguri in Pretrial Detention

Public Defender of Georgia Ucha Nanuashvili visited former minister of energy and finances Aleksandre Khetaguri in the preliminary detention setting at Moduli building, MIA office.

The Ombudsman told journalists that Khetaguri does not plead guilty in the accusations.

According to Nanuashvili, Khetaguri does not complain about any oppression on him.

“He does not plead guilty and claims it is absurd theatre. He has no information about concrete crime. He does not know the briber and claims he has no information who was sources of bribe-payment,” said Nanuashvili.

The Ombudsman said Khetaguri is waiting to study the accusation materials.

His lawyer Davit Khazhalia also visited Khetaguri in the Moduli building. According to the present information, Khetaguri is questioned about Cartu Bank’s case.

Ucha Nanuashvili has already left the MIA office.
