Chokhatauri District Governor Resigned

Lela Imedashvili was appointed to the position of Chokhatauri district governor last year when she replaced Mamuka Dolidze, who had quitted position after famous Bakhmaro scandal. Before that, Imedashvili was head of Ozurgeti education resource-center.

On December 25, Lela Imedashvili wrote resignation letter. 

Lela Imedashvili did not confirm spread information about the oppression from Georgian Dream. She said nobody had intimidated her and left position based on her personal desire.

Imedashvili also said she is not going to continue her career anywhere yet and tries to adapt to the role of a housewife. Though everything might happen. Chairman of the municipal board approved Tamaz Jincharadze of the Georgian Dream to the position of interim district government.
